Reading the docs on the main cp website, I find I should
use, for
example:
cherrypy.request.remote_addr
to access the remote address. This fails with a 500 error
using
cp2.2rc1.

However,
cherrypy.request.remoteAddr
delivers the required address.

I have added a comment to the docs, but I don't understand
what is
going on with the documentation. It seems to be out of step
with the
software. If I could get a reliable guide to the api I
wouldn't mind
having a go at a little documentation.

Hi Paul,

Those docs are a little "forward thinking" I
suppose when it comes to
2.2
Since 2.2 has been undergoing development in the last few
months, some stuff has changed since the betas and RC.

Well, that omission was caught after the release of 2.2rc-1.
 It has
been corrected in the current trunk code and will thus be
available in
the final 2.2 release. See http://www.cherry
py.org/ticket/491.

Excellent. Any help you can offer is much appreciated.
