As you haven't had a reply from anyone else may i suggest
(as a
temporary measure) using RAM to store the session stuff. Of
course
you'll lose it during a restart but otherwise it's
pleasantly painless
(assumming you don't have millions of simultaneous users
!).

BTW how does a pickle based session repository deal with
multiple
threads ? It just occurs to me that might be a problem.

In the last three days i have seen the error you're
describing in (long
ago) pickled file. I've no idea what caused it but it did
make me think
that I don't want to use pickle any more.

Sorry not to be of more help.

My preference is to store data in a memory cache. But since
I'm in
active development mode, my servers get restarted with new
code once a
day. I don't want to have my users re login every single
day.

I started seeing the problem when I moved my application to
a two node
system. I'm using pound with sticky sessions as my load
balancer and
then have two seperate cherry app servers which use file
based session
stores.

I seem to get a lot of errors from the file based session
module. Maybe
it is time to integrate the session module from myghty?
