One nice thing about Grails is that it provides a full stack solution.  You don't need to piece together several different frameworks to build your application.  It's also not as 'new' as you might think.  People have been producing production apps with it for over 2 years and at it's core are Spring MVC and Hibernate, both very mature frameworks.  Also, Grails produces a standard JEE war file that can be deployed to any JEE app server so using it with JBoss should be no problem.  We have deployed production Grails apps on BEA WebLogic 10 and it was a snap. ; One more thing (and the sales pitch is over, I promise): The Grails mailing list is very active and the people there are very helpful  This makes a huge difference when working with any new tool.

Subject: [chicago-java] Web Application Framework

I have a web application developed using tiles/struts/hibernate on
jboss, I am planning to redesign this using web 2.0 and looking for a
better framework to use and easier migration process. I was looking at
grails but it is a new framework and brings lot of challenges
integrating in jboss. So anybody has any recommendation or any
experience with any specific web application framework?

Thanks
Suresh
