It is disabled in 0.20-3 which is waiting in the developers

Oh, my plan was to do a next release with more features. But
due to the 
problems with OpenEXR I will see what I can do.

Frank,

I uploaded an osX diskimage of gtk-CinePaint alias FilmGimp
as a  
candidate for 0.20-3. It should now work with OpenEXR files.
Will come in 
about a week to sf.
