python scripting

hi!

i did just installed cinepaint 0.21 and i'm curious if i
can get my
python scripts to work with it. (from gimp 2.2)

i copied one over to .cinepaint/plugins and it got loaded,
but then i
got an error:

plugin count = 42
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/home/kl/.cinepaint/plug-ins/marker.py",
line 13, in ?
    import gimp
ImportError: No module named gimp
wire_read: unexpected EOF (plug-in crashed?)
...

so python scripting changed from gimp. ok.
module renamed or stuff, fine. now i need the docs..

i searched the documentation on cinepaint.org
i searched for sample-scripts (in python)
i searched the dev-mailing-archive
i searched the source-tarball

-> none.

do i have to read the source instead?
any samplescripts?
what about python scripting in general? is it usable? is it
the threaded
one for linux yet? how to write 'native' scripts for it?
or is it
compatible to some gimp version?

Some sample scripts are in plug-ins/pygimp/plug-ins/.
There is no one working on pygimp for CinePaint currently.
The development 
focus mainly lays on Glasgow.

If you are interessted in contributing let us know. We would
be glad and 
continue on the developers list then.
