BARS Application Update Question

Hello Group

In relation to one of my TAC cases I am upgrading from BARS 4.0.12 to BARS 4.0.13 for my CCM cluster and CRS cluster.

We are experiencing one of the bugs that is fixed in 4.0.13.

I am doing this as prework for my CRS4.05SR2 Patch (from CRS4.05).  I want to make sure that I have a totally clean backup before I do this patch on my CRS servers.

We are using our Call manager publisher as the BARS Client.  TAC told me that I will need to uninstall the BARS application from all servers (Call managers and IPCC servers) and reinstall the new version.

They also told me that when I do this I will be given the option to choose if the box will be a CLIENT or a TARGET.

Anyway, I think I have everything I need, but I am trying to find out for sure if a server reboot (or 2) is part of this work. ; I just want to know what to expect.

I assume that there is a reboot after the uninstall of 4.0.12 and a reboot after the install of 4.0.13.

Also, should I disable the Cisco Security Agent during the uninstall / reinstall of this application?

Thanks again.

You will need to reboot after installing BARS... also do NOT
under any
circumstances install this through a remote desktop
connection.

My advice would be turn off and disable CSA until your completely done, even if it doesn't ask you to.
