| Redirecting Number and Unity ? |

Dealing with an issue right now that I don't quite know how
to resolve.
We had a sales person who had their own number and was
working from
home, just a land line with local telco. They decide to
move into the
office so I give them a new IP phone and one of the local
extensions
with a DID. Tell the person that when they decide to move
in just
have telco forward the number to the new DID I gave them.
I tested that I could call in, and setup a call handler for
this due
to some needs and not wanting voicemail.
Anyway, everything worked with the stuff I setup. But now
on his old
number that telco is forwarding when it hits unity it does
not hit the
call handler. I can call the number I setup and it works,
but when
calling his number which forwards to the number I setup it
does not.
I notice in the isdn q931 messages it shows something like
this:
Calling Party Number i = 0x2183, '9726545418'
Plan:ISDN, Type:National
Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '9724562500'
Plan:ISDN, Type:National
Redirecting Number i = '!', 0x008F, '9722375323'
Only thing I can figure is that unity is not seeing the
2500, but is
seeing the 5323 of the redirecting number?
Any thoughts on this?

try adding the full 10 digit number and/or the last four
digits as an
alternate extension on the mailbox. that might work.
or alternately, migrate the DID to your system. skip the
forwarding.

I setup under Call Routing - Forwarded Calls in Unity per
Scott V a
rule to send it to my original call handler. However I had
problems
finding a match on either the forwarding station or the
dialed number
DNIS, as I tried the full number and ext. and various
options but to
no avail.
Then using the call viewer per Ed's instruction I was able
to see that
the Forwarding Station and the DNIS were the same and were
the full
number of the forwarded number the user originally had. It
is not
matching and sending to the call handler.
Thanks for all the help!

I'd stay away from modifying the dialing rules as much as
possible and stick
to using alternate extensions if possible.
but that's just me.
