Any router in an area could send lsa5 into the system by
redistribution of
another routing protocol or connected/static routes.
Setting the stub flag
on all area routers tells internal routers that no
redistribution is
allowed. A totally stubby area needs only be set on the
abr. This is
because an abr is the only router that can pass type 3 lsa's
into an area,
but this is not so with type 5. Hth

John, in IOS release 12.2(8)T the default behavior of EIGRP
auto-summarization was changed to disabled. This is per the
latest 12.4
documentation command guide.
