The subinterfaces are on the 2811 on port Fa0/0. I have
attempted this setup
of only having vlan 5 with an IP within the same subnet as
the Fa0/1 on the
2811 and still no luck. I went as far as to assign the port
that the Fa0/1
on the 2811 was plugged into on the 3548 to vlan 5. Any
other ideas? Maybe
the IOS is not new enough?

Also, I just did a test and I found that I can only have one
vlan running at
a time. By running I mean to have an IP address and be
reachable by the
directly connected router by the vlan's IP address. The
interface that is
reachable must have the "management" command
executed on it. I am thinking
that this is a limitation of the IOS version, given that it
is 12.0(4) and
the Cisco tests use 12.4. However, I am not aware of
limitations of the IOS,
is there a place I can find this at? Also, if it is a
limitation of the IOS
where can I get a newer version?

I'm not even sure
