Fa0/3 on the 3548 is in vlan 5 and the rest are in the
default vlan 1. I
have tried sh int vlan 1 & sh int vlan 5 but there is a
catch. At first it
showed vlan 1 as up/up and vlan 5 as admin down/down. So I
did a no shut on
vlan 5 and executed sh int vlan 5 to have the same results.
I then executed
"management" on vlan 5 and the sh int vlan 5 was
up/up while vlan 1 changed
to up/down. I did a sh run int vlan 1 and it had the
"shutdown" command
displayed. Naturally I did a "no shut" on vlan 1
and a sh run int vlan 1 and
still the "shutdown" line was there. I then
executed "management" on vlan 1
and sh run int vlan 1 no longer had "shutdown" and
sh int vlan 1 was up/up.
However, sh run int vlan 5 showed the "shutdown"
command and sh int vlan 5
was up/down. Any thoughts?
