I have a couple questions regarding one of our 11506 Content
Switches.
I'm not sure if anyone has tried to follow the
documentation on Cisco's
website, but I'm having a hard time following it!
For example, I noticed the following Content and Group
configuration on
an 11506. You'll notice that both the Content's and the
Group are using
the same VIP address (same VLAN). The questions I have
regarding this
config are:
1.) Should the Content's have different VIP addresses since
they're
using different Services and different configurations?
2.) Can related Content's and Groups use the same VIP
address? If not,
should the VIP's for the Content's and related Group be in
different
VLAN's?
I guess my main question is: What are the rules regarding
the use of
VIP's in related Content's and Groups? Can they be the
same VIP? Must
the VIP's between the Group and Content's be in different
VLAN's?
