Using Brad's book now. I would get both the print and pdf
(I think I made a
mistake getting the print only). Brad covers material that
isn't in the new
Cisco Press CCIE Routing and Switching Official Exam
Certification Guide,
2nd Ed and it is designed more as a practical study guide
(to lead you into
the lab stuff) while the cisco press material is definitely
tailored for the
written exam.
I am through chapter 6 and both me and my study partner have
been happy with
the material. We are using both as there are gaps on some
stuff (the book
is light on NTP - Brad goes crazy on it - stuff like that)
and sometimes it
is nice having another way of looking at something. It is
worth the dough.
Soon as we are done with the next two chapters I'll be
signing up to sit for
the written. God willing I will pass.
Regards,
Ed Horley
