Hi everyone,
I've got a 2509 with an octopus cable set up as a terminal
server. I
can reverse telnet to a 3640 just fine, so I know the cable
is good.
When I connect the octopus cable to the console ports on
2950 and 3550
switches and try reverse telnet, I can see the console
message but
cannot type anything.
In the past I've had a similar situation coming from a
laptop to a
router, and I fixed it by turning flow control on the serial
port to
"software" or "none".
I have tried the same thing on the 2509's lines, but no
luck. I can
still only receive console messages across the 2509's lines
and cannot
type anything. From the config below you can see I've tried
different
settings on various lines, none of them allow me to type on
the switch
consoles via reverse telnet. When I googled for info, it
just seems to
"work" for everyone else.
Any ideas on what the problem is?
