Long hangs on /dev/random

Hi folks,

I've noticed sometimes really long hangs on venus startup. 
strace showed up that it hangs on reading from /dev/random.

Seems the device waits until it got enough entropy.

Any suggestion how to work around this ?

You could upgrade rpc2 to version 2.5.

Ah, Gentoo's ebuilds are quite, quite outdated. Their last
version is 2.0 ;-O

I'm working on fresh ebuilds ...
