Hi Demi,
You might try adapting the instructions at:
http://www.ailis.de/~k/docs/crosscompiling/python.php
to see if you have any success getting python to compile
and run before you try integrating it with LTIB. If you
want to see what the ltib environment looks like you can
run ./ltib -m shell and that will put you in a ltib
environment.
If you are successful with that step the doc/LtibFaqPackages
has instructions for integrating it with the configure
system.
