is there anybody who is graphically talented on this list?
I think (actually it was Jan's idea) that cometd should
have
an active icon - just like firefoxes circle of circles or
IE's waving window.
The idea would be that the icon should indicate that the
polling is still happening in the background - perhaps with
a cyclon type glowing eye that stops moving if the
connection
drops or polling halts.
It would also be good to have some standard semantics for
clicking the icon. Click while active drops the connection,
click while inactive restarts the polling.
It would also be kind of cool to have a debugging mode where
a hover over the icon gave a tooltip with all the subscribed
channels and the current transport in use.
I could see such an icon becoming great branding for all
active Ajax pages.
