Just a side note -- if you have really large verity
collections you should
delete the collection, redefine it and repopulate it once in
awhile. It can
make a dramatic difference in performance. Re-indexing
helps but doesn't
seem to have the same results as repopulating the collection
from scratch.

Justin,

It depends on the activity. If your content is mostly
static then you don't
have to do a full repopulate very often. The more active
your content the
more the verity collection becomes fragmented. Once it
becomes fragmented
then updates, such as indexing new content, starts to take a
much longer
time to complete. Re-indexing does seem to help but a full
repopulate is
where we notice the most dramatic improvement in verity
performance.

Maybe try it after 4 months of use and see if it helps or
not. If you don't
notice much of a difference then maybe you can get by with
just re-indexing.
