The only issue here is that Adobe does not support 1.5, so
if you have
an Adobe support package you can only be on 1.3 or 1.4 for
it to be
valid.

Subject: [Commonspot] "Too many open files"
problem is fixed
We had a problem where when we worked in Commonspot for an
hour or so,
the
server would fail with the message "too many open
files." This is on
Windows and had to do with too many file handles being
utilized. This
problem was discussed here a couple of months ago by others
who had the
same problem.
The fix is to upgrade the Java runtime from 1.4 to 1.5. On
Sun's site I
found a document describing the bug and that 1.5 fixed it.
We upgraded
to
1.5 and the problem went away. They actually call the JRE
version 5 on
the Sun site but internally it is also called 1.5
