Pronto Error #2048

I am unable to get past the login screen at /pronto/ with 
both https and http connections.

Upon clicking login the error I receive is Error #2048
Server OS: Linux	
Server Hardware: x86 (32-bit)	
Server Version:	5.1c.4

Browsers:
Mac Firefox 1.5, Safari 2.04
XP Pro SP2 IE6

Flash Player:
Mac & XP=9

The Login button changes text and goes to "Logging
In..." 
in an apparent indefinite process. Refreshing the page is 
the only way to try another form of login.

Incidentally, there are no error log entries that could be 
traced to Pronto access attempts.

Any Ideas?
