Installed new Hard Drive

Hope this makes sense. I installed a new hard drive on my computer and
it is called "New Volume G". How do I make it my default drive so that
when I download a program it automatically will install to the New
Volume G drive instead of the old "C" drive? I now that I can switch
it before it installs a program, but my son is not aware of this and
always installs on the C drive. Thanks for any help.

During the install of a program you will have to choose to install to
that drive. As far as your son not doing it. Depending on his age
perhaps a limited account should be set up and you install all the
software. Children can cause havoc on a computer, and sometimes install
stuff that will make the havoc even worse. If you do not set him up a
limited account then he needs to learn to custom install and choose that
drive.
