Internet connection sharing?

Does anyone know how to do this internet connection sharing between to
computers and what all do i need? One runs windows xp, the other is
vista. Both are compaqs and less than a year old.

Possible even on dial-up. Been there done that. As for broadband, you would
be much better off using a router to give multiple computers access.
