That brings up another question: How do you go to "safe

| I need a good copy of DOS 5.0 or
greater |
  United States |

|
I have a customer with an old Embroidery machine that she wants to buy a
laptop from me to use with it. The program used to run it need DOS 5.0
or greater. (It will co-exist with Windows 3.0 and 3.1, so no worry
there.) I dug out my old floppyes for DOS 6.22 and they have become
unreadable. My DOS 7.0 floppies seem to be corrupted also, at least it
cannot use the command.com file for starters, and copying a different
version in there seems not to work at all.
Can someone email me a simple DOS set please?

Hello Shella,
Click Start, and then click Shut Down.
Click Restart, click OK, and then press and hold the CTRL key until
the Microsoft Windows Startup Menu appears.
On some computers, you can use F8 instead of CTRL to bring up the
Microsoft Windows Startup Menu.
Enter the number for Safe mode, and then press ENTER.

Try freeDOS. It works well and doesn't violate any copy writes.

I have some of the original version 6.22 licenses, still shrinkwrapped,
if you'll contact me off list.
