This is what you want exactly
Goto START>RUN
In the Box Type
cmd
When the black CMD box comes up TYPE THIS
sfc /scannow
Notice the space after sfc then the forward slash then NO SPACE then the
word scannow
OK this is the crazy part, the scannow box will sometimes be UNDER the
black cmd Window, so look at the task bar for another application, if
you do not see it, move the black CMD Window around, the little guy is
under there somewhere, he's hiding.

Ok, I followed the short link, and tried a few different things there.
1. I tried sfc [/scannow]
2. I tried sfc [/scanonce]
3. I tried sfc/scannow
4. I tried sfc / scannow
5. I tried sfc [/scanboot]
For 3 and 4, i received an error message saying windows could not
locate that folder. For 1,2, and 5, it flashed a black box in the
center of the screen for about a nanosec and then nuthin. I used the
link for the Run command in my startup menu, since you said "run sfc..."
Where did i go wrong?
