Problem with Wireless Connection

I am trying to install a wireless connection card for a laptop to my
present wireless system. I have entered all the ip Mac addresses I need
to get on the internet and the card tells me that I am connected but all
I get is the dreaded cannot display website message. I have used the
command ipconfi/all and double checked and it is the same. What setting
am I missing that I need to do.

Pam

The system is XP and the computer is a 2 yr old Dell. The card is by
D-Link.

You may just need to teach your computer to detect the proxy settings.
Go to the control panel and double click Network Connections. Over on
the left click on Make new connection. Follow the wizard and see if
that resolves the problem.

Slipstreaming IE7

I have noticed that if I run a Repair install, the one following the F8
agreement, when using my XP Pro CD which has been slip-streamed with
SP2, Internet Explorer reverts back to IE6 even though IE7 had
previously been installed in the (corrupted) installation I am trying to
fix. Is it possible to incorporate IE7 into the install CD like SP2 is
incorporated into it using something like Autostreamer?

Ardell,

IE7 comes after SP2 by means of an update or you can just
download and install it.

Well I know that. I install it in just about every computer I repair.
My question is about when I am repairing a system that already has IE7
installed. Running the Repair install which follows the F8 license
agreement that saves all your data and applications causes IE6 to be
reinstalled, since as you point out IE7 followed SP2. So after repairing
the XP operating system and getting it back up and running, I now have
to re-install IE7. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to
incorporate IE7 into the XP install CD similar to incorporating SP2, so
after I repair a unit I don't have to do a seperate re-install of IE7,
which is a time consumer.

Ardell,

To answer your question below, you can slipstream IE7 into the
XP-SP2 CD-I found a program called N-lite is the bet way to do
this. Just do a search on Google for N-lite-you may already know
about it. You can find the IE7 14.7MB download at the following
url:
