be somewhat careful with AWC as with its registry cleaner it
can remove things you don't want gone. I have had problems
with it removing shorcuts created by WinKey Enhancer and as
much as I try to figure out where it is doing it so I can
"exclude" that, I have been unable to locate the
adjustment. There were a couple other things but I forget
exactly what right now. I find Regseeker better.

Ricky
I have never used Advanced Window care,
But the other startup program is a nice little app that
Ardell
introduced me to that adds an icon to the control panel and
you can
control the start up items there. It breaks them down and
lets you see
what each does and is real easy to use.

Just some clarification please?

1)Dont the activities of Ccleaner and Advanced WindowsCare
V2 overlap
each
other? I am asking because I use AWC 2 but have not used
Ccleaner as
yet.
Would you advise that I use both or either one of them?

2)What is StartUpcpl for? Apparently something to do with
the Start up
but
how exactly does it help?

Many thanks in advance.

Take care and have a nice weekend.

Warm regards,
Ricky.

I'll second that -- always set a restore point before using AWC.

As for startupcpl, does it give you more infor than just the path to
the startup item? That's all it appears to me to show.
