That's a thought , but the problem is they don't really know how to
do anything on their win 98 CPU, and I've been trying to get them to
download photo software that I use and teach them how, and make it easy
for them , but so far not much luck with them .

Their camera takes very large photos and I tried to explain to them
They have to make them smaller to send them with dial-up ..

They spent $ 1000 on a new camera, and I want pictures !!!

They don't seem to get it , whats the use in having a high priced
camera and NOT sharing photos with Family ... arghhhhhh

Thanks... and Happy Fathers Day to All

The topic says connecting computers
(how far apart? in the same house, on a network?)

Yet, the thread seems to imply there are miles, cities or country apart.
(so confused)

One method that makes life simplier (albeit learning curve)
is to buy web-space (hosted web space is $100-160 a year approx).
Gives you enough room to store pictures.
Upload to the net.
Let the other person download to their computer.

Problems:
If they are using windows 98 - then they probably do not have a high
speed internet connection - in this case - forget my method !
ws_ftp (lite) is free.

Other solutions:
If they had windows xp, you can send a picture in "smaller format"
(100k)

Other ideas abound!

Hmmm - they can spend $1000 on a digital camera, but they still have a
Win 98 computer??? LOL.

Tell them to upgrade that old clunker and take some computer classes at
their local community college.
