Do you need a serious answer?

The salary question can be narrowed down to research.

For instance, research the company.
- Find out WHO (by name) is working there.
- Then uncover salary information by looking into the garbage bins for
discarded pay stubs.
- Date the Human Resource director (or his/her daughter).
- Contact the I.R.S. and perform a reverse audit on their employees.
- Corner technicians as they leave work for the day,
ply them with beer until they reveal their salary history.
- Pretend you are another rival company H.R.
and say you are verifying info of (name of person).
(This also has the advantage of raising doubts and
possibly getting that person fired, thus ensuring a job opening).

It is scary, but within the above answers are legitimate variations!
