This is going to sound crazy, but bear with me. A friend of mine
heard that you could fix a scratched CD with a marker and so she
colored in all the scratches and tried to play it. Well, it didn't
work, actually made it skip even worse, then later her son took the CD
and cleaned off all the ink with nail polish remover and it worked
just fine.
If all else fails, I'd give it a try.
