Faxing problem

Faxing from my monitor it says "No dail tone". When I fax from my
printer, goes right through. The fax and CPU are individually plugged
into a telephone multip plu, and then into my fax wall outlet. Why can
the printer get a dial tone, but the cpu can't?

Sound like your fax program in your computer is not setup

properly to recognize your modem in your computer.
