The best thing I know of is Windex (Windowlene in the UK). If you can
soak the head in a solution of windex this will dissolve the ink. The
time that this will take depends on the strength of the solution and
the thickness of the hardened ink. If you have distilled water this is
good for mixing the windex, but water from the ice that forms in
refrigators and freezers can be used, and quite frankly I cannot see
why tap water cannot be used.
