I have about 10 floppy discs I want to throw away. I can't use them
with the laptop. Is it ok to tear them open and throw the plastic
parts into the recycle and cut up the vinyl? I am guessing the info
is on that little vinyl part inside. If I cut that up will that
destroy the info?

Thanks, Susie

You can, but it would be easier to run a good strong magnet over it
several times.
