My cursor blinks uncontrollably and i can hear my processor working
very hard everytimee it blinks. What can i do to stop it from
blinking???????

Try the following:

Mouse Actions

You can change how fast the cursor blinks to reduce distraction or to
increase visibility.

To open the Ease of Access Center, select:

Start.

Control Panel.

Ease of Access.

Ease of Access Center.

Under Explore all settings, select:

Make the keyboard easier to use.

Under See also, select:

Keyboard settings

On the Speed tab, under Cursor blink rate:

Select Cursor blink rate from None to Fast.

Note: The blinking cursor at the left of the dialog box will change as
you make adjustments.

Select OK.

Keyboard Actions

To open the Ease of Access Center, press:

Windows logo key + U

Under Explore all settings, select:

Make the keyboard easier to use by pressing TAB, then ENTER.

Under See also, select:

Keyboard settings by pressing ALT+B.

On the Speed tab, under Cursor blink rate:

Move to the Cursor blink rate slider by pressing ALT+B.

Select a setting from None to Fast by pressing the arrow keys.

Note: The blinking cursor at the left of the dialog box will change as
you make adjustments.

Select OK by pressing TAB, then ENTER

If you have windows XP the actions to be taken are slighlty different
- why do people not give basic information such as their operating system?

Windows XP

MOUSE ACTIONS

On the Start menu:
Select Control Panel

In Control Panel:

Be sure you are in Classic View (all Control Panel icons are showing).

If not, under Control Panel in the left pane, select Switch to Classic
View.

Select Keyboard.

In the Keyboard Properties dialog box, on the Speed tab, under Cursor
blink rate:

Adjust the rate by moving the slider.

Select OK.

To close Control Panel:

Select the Close button.

Keyboard Actions

Display the Start menu by pressing CTRL+ESC (or the Windows logo key


Select Control Panel by pressing C.

In Control Panel:

Be sure you are in Classic View (all Control Panel icons are showing).

If not, under Control Panel in the left pane, select Switch to Classic
View by pressing TAB.

Press ENTER.

Move to Keyboard by pressing the arrow keys.

Press ENTER.

In the Keyboard Properties dialog box, on the Speed tab, under Cursor
blink rate:

Move to the Cursor blink rate slider by pressing B.

Select the rate you want by moving the slider arrow with the RIGHT
ARROW and LEFT ARROW keys.

Press ENTER.

To close Control Panel:

Press ALT+F, C.
