The computer may have come with restore disks. If you give the model
number I can look up the instructions that Compaq gives for recovery. I
could also check to see if they will sell you a copy of any restore
materials. I am assuming that you cannot find your old CD set.
Even if you are not able to get restore materials, you have a serial
number and can install a fresh copy of windows if you can get an install
CD from a friend.
