Hi Sheila,
You can turn off all but the last Restore point if you need some space, by
going to Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Cleanup. Select the drive to
clean and wait for the scan to complete. (This can take a while.) Once the
scan is complete and the Disk Cleanup window opens click the More Options
tab. There you will see three options and the third one is System Restore.
Click the Clean up button and click Ok (Are you sure). Then click OK again
and you will get another are you sure screen. Click Yes and now you will
have only one restore point.
To limit the amount of space that System Restore will use, right click on My
Computer, select Properties and click the System Restore tab. In the Drive
settings section, click Settings. Now use the slider to determine how much
space is allocated for System Restore. As the space is used, the older
Restore points are removed by Windows.

Subject: Re: [CHAD] Turning off System Restore
Thanks, Martha. I knew you'd have the answer! I won't turn mine off and on.
Of course, if it has stored hundreds of points, it COULD free up some disc
space, huh?
