Hi Ray,
I have not tested the video card. I thought if the XP logo shows up on the screen, the video card is working.

When I tested the hard drive in another system, I first tested my hard drive as the MASTER and I got the same results. It went to the XP logo and then recycled through to the BIOS check and POST. When I changed my hard drive to SLAVE, and booted with the testing systems original hard drive, I could see all the files/folders on my hard drive.

When I get home tonight I will see if I can boot to DOS and to run chkdsk. I will back up all my files first in case I need to wipe the disk clean and do a new install.

Thank you,
Vin

Normally if you get a post then the board sees the video card and is able to send an output signal to it. When you took the hard drive out and placed it inside another computer you got the same results correct, * 7 stood out in my mind. You took the hard drive out and placed it in another computer, did you try and boot off that drive or of another drive using a diferent os. I have had the problem where the bar will stop when it says loading windows xp and ususally i have to go in and reinstall the operating system. Can you boot into dos and run a chkdisk and find out if you have a daamaged hard drive. My first reccomendation is to open it up on another computer as a slave to a master hard drive, and copy your most critical data just in case you do have a problem with the hard drive. Then you can scan the hard drive with a virus scanner.
