go to command prompt and run following command
netstat -v
This will show up all active connections with port No.
even if so many ports are open, no need to worry unless the computer is affected.
Good Luck,
Devendra.

I was talking to tech support for my isp today, and he tells me that I have 9000 open ports, I find this hard to believe, since I am running trend micro internet security 2007 and it reports that I am virus and malware free.
My question is, is there a site that can check my open ports? and how can I find out what is using these open ports?
Thanks

Hi
I tried following your advice.
As soon as I enter the command and click OK, a small DOS window appreas for a second then closes by itself without me being able to read anything in it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Abed,
First you need to type cmd in the Run box then Netstat -v in the DOS
window that appears.

Try:
netstat -v/p (the forward slash P is to pause the screen)
