I have used Spybot S&D in the past but was not aware that it can also lock home page and keep it from being hijacked.
Hmmmmmmmm, I will look at it again.

I have had that happen before. Did you try going the long way round?
Start/All programs/Accessories/Command Pormpt.
For some reason the window stayed open for me when I went that way and not
when I did Start/Run.
