These tools, along with a good firewall (either in a router or from
Zone Labs) and a check for exposure by Shields UP! by www.grc.com
are necessary tools for security for any computer connected to
Internet.
I use most of the above on regular basis and keep them updated. I
use Avast! and AVG anti-virus scanners too. I have seven computers
on a network and connected to Internet every day. I have had no
problems for years.
