Hi, I got a new monitor recently and the monitor does not work with
dvi connection. When I connect the monitor with the vga cable, the
monitor works properly but when I connect the monitor with dvi cable,
it says there's no input signal. My computer has dvi interface but it
seems to be DVI-I (dual link.)My computer's dvi port has 4 analog
pins on the side of the long flat pin and 24 digital pins besides
them.

For the dvi cable that came with the monitor, there's 24 digital pins
and one long flat pin only. I can plug the cabnle in the port with no
problem, it's just that after I do that, it says no input signal and
the monitor does not work. May I ask if there's way I can hook up the
dvi connnection without replacing my computer? Is there any cable
available that I can get so that I can connect the dvi canle wit the
dvi port of my computer? Thanks for your help!

You might have to look in the On Screen Menu of the monitor to make it
use the DVI input instead of the VGA input.
