That Acer Aspire, like mine, has a built-in wireless adapter. To
connect it to your router wirelessly, you must supply the wireless
broadcast WEP or WPA encryption key generator phrase. This is in
the router, and you must go into it and reset the encryption phrase
(or character string key) to something you know. Then you can
configure the Acer laptop's wireless adapter with the same
encryption key phrase. Either that, or connect to the router by
ethernet (CAT5 or better) cable via the RJ45 socket on the laptop.
