Thread: Reminder to Trim Posts

Reminder to Trim Posts

Lately there have been a number of posts submitted that need to be trimmed.

Untrimmed posts cost some of our members money as some ISPs in other
countries charge by the second for downloading. All of us are guilty at
times of forgetting to trim, but we need to try to show courtesy to each
other.

It is not necessary to include every response when replying to posts. Do
include relative information, but use good judgment and remove un-necessary
stuff.

If you don't know how to trim, read how to trim on this page,
http://www.marthas-web.com/trimming-posts.htm
(This link appears after every post)

Please show courtesy to your fellow members (and the moderators) and trim
posts.

Thank you,

Martha

Post Trimming: Not a complaint

This is not a complaint.

I understand the need for trimming, and I am guilty of it myself.

However, is / wasn't there an add-in at one time for Outlook and Mozilla
to look for the bottom-most name in an email, and offer to delete
everything past that point? For some reason, I thought there was? I just
want it to ask if I want it trimmed, not do it automatically. (I might
want to keep it.) It it were automatic, I would trim A LOT more than I
do now. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Robert
