Yes, thanks. Hitting the stop button isn't really an option because
my printer is on the top shelf of my computer desk and I'd have to
stand up. Also sometimes there are multiple pages, but you don't want
wasted, extra pages. I tried printing just the selection, but that
doesn't give the page as it appears, so it depends what you are
printing and why, and what will get missed out. I thought if I
reduced the top and bottom margins it might fit, but it still did a
page break. I think it may have something to do with the headers and
footers it puts in, but I don't know where they are on webpages (or in
the browser, or where they are....LOL).

A-4 is one of the european metric based paper sizes...
not based on USA in Inches such as 8x12" standard paper size... or
legal size etc.
you need to go into the printer program set-up menu & change from
A-4 to 8X12 or whatever your paper size is on the paper packaging...
then the print-out will be accurate.
I don't know your specific program, or how to reset it...if that is
a problem for you, someone else here can assist you with that.

A-4 is a international (ISO) standard paper size, The ISO standard has been adopted by all countries except the United States of America, Canada, and, I think, the Phillipines. A-4 dimensions are 210mm wide and 297mm high, which works out to approximately 8.27"x 11.69"; . It's thus a little narrower and a bit longer than the standard american letter paper size, which is 8.5"x 11".
