Is there a way to select a certain word or punctuation in an open document that has multiple instances of the selection?

Such as ,all the comma`s in the document?

I want to delete those then resave the document.

Yes. Edit>Find & Replace. Tell it to find all ',' and then leave the
'replace with' box blank.

AFAIK, you have to do it one character or word at a time or only if the
series of numbers is all together.

'Course, you could try it. Make a copy of the document and then try
your replacements on that to see if they work.
