adaware error help needed

I have adaware 2007 free on my xp sp2 computer, now when I try to open adaware I get this error message " system error: 1810 has occurred. Description: serice is not online, application terminates" What is causing this and how can I fix it?

Last time I uninstalled and re-installed adaware, and it fixed it, but now this same error is happening again.

Hi Bill,
The 1810 error indicates that the Service (aawservice.exe) has been stopped
and therefore AAW 2007, which is dependent on the Service cannot run.

Lets see if you can get a scan to run this way:

- Close Ad-Aware 2007
- Go to the start menu, click 'Run...' and type in 'services.msc'
- In the services window, locate 'Ad-Aware 2007 Service', select it
and click 'Stop'
- Once the service has been stopped, click on "Start"
- Then re-open Ad-Aware 2007 and try running a scan

You can go to control panel and click on administrative tools and
then click on services,ad-aware may be at the top of the list.then
you can click on it and then at the side you see the choice to
restart the service,you can also right click and then click on
properties and do the same thing.For some reason my earlier ad-ware
was sometimes turned off so I don't know why.
