YAHOO CHAT ROOM

Hi Terry and Preacher..

Its not necessary to create a yahoo group just to make a
chat room... You can make a chat room AND make it private,
then you just invite those members of your family into your
room, using the invite feature, then they accept, then
viola, they are in... Its been a long time since I've done
it.. but here are the "basic Steps"

1) Open Yahoo Messenger

2) You will see the "Chat" button up at the top
below your Yahoo ID, in the little messenger tab thingy,
Click that

3) Once your Chat Room window pops up, at the very bottom
you will see "Create New Room", click that

4) This is where you pick your Chat Identity, which is your
yahoo id, the Room Category, Room Name, Welcome Message AND
Access, click these:

Private (Room will not appear in Room List)
Users can join the room only if I invite them
Enable voice chat

Once you invite then, they accept, and thats it..

You can create your own chat room on Yahoo, by creating
your own
group. Simply set it up so that members have to be
approved to join
and only approve your family. ;o) Voice chat is possible
in Yahoo
chat rooms, but not webcams. If you want to use both
voice chat and a
webcam, you can do that by using Yahoo messenger. If you
already have
it, just set up a new identity and only give it out to
family to keep
things private. As for the computer phone calls, someone
else will
  have to answer that one.
  Hope this helps.

  Terry
