EN-689 Software Test Engineer - Pasadena, CA
Openings: one contract, one staff
A leading developer of optical design and analysis
software has openings for a Software Test Engineer
(one contract, one staff).
You will maintain suites of automated test cases,
perform product release testing for a CAD product
across multiple hardware platforms.
You must have experience testing CAD programs under
both Windows and UNIX environments. You should be able
to interface equally well with a staff of Software
Development Engineers, Computer Systems Engineers as
well as development managers in a team-oriented
environment.
You must also be familiar with the software
development process, the software development life
cycle and software testing methodologies.
Primary responsibilities of the position include, but
are not limited to:
o. Manually testing of CAD-type software products
o. Writing test plans and matrices
o. Assessing a GUI for the purpose of creating and
documenting manual test scenarios
o. Maintenance of the automated test case suites,
including adding new tests, executing tests, and
verifying test results
Requirements:
o. Experience testing CAD software (Absolutely
Required)
o. Experience testing under both Windows and UNIX
operating systems (Required)
o. Experience with automated test tools (Required)
o. Experience with SolidWorks a plus
