Job Description:

* Build and maintain the NAS storage infrastructure in a mission-critical environment.

* Manage and configure NetApp Filer and Redhat Linux implementations.

* Promote system reliability and efficiency by creating and implementing system standards and operational best-practices; provide technical leadership in design and administration decisions for NAS systems.

* Perform and document disaster recovery and data distribution procedures with NetApp’s SnapMirror software.

* Participate in a team of 12 individuals both local and international.

* Communicate issues clearly to business and technical groups within the company.

Rate: $50.00

Position actively participates in the design, development, and implementation of object oriented development life-cycle including coding, documentation, testing, implementation, and training. Works collaboratively within small teams while assuming responsibility for the development of system level components within software development projects.

 

The right candidate will have 6-8 years of experience including the below requirements:

 

• Web development using C++/Java, JavaScript, XML, and databases.

• C/C++,Java and J2EE technologies (e.g., JSPs, Servlets, JDBC), XML, Web Services, and MySQL

• Designing and developing N-tier enterprise applications

• Business rules engines / workflow management engines and their integration with internal and external systems

Our client is looking for a Remedy Developer for their project in San Jose CA.

Job Description:
The Remedy developer will partner with a project manager, business analyst, an IT architect, and a lead user to define, design, built, test, and launch the replacement functionality. The Remedy developer will also build quarterly enhancements that are built to enable the system users to keep pace with the growth of the business. The Remedy developer will follow the IT Program Management Office software development lifecycle and project management methodologies.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in project design sessions with the project manager and system users.
- Design, build, unit test, and integration test the custom built Remedy AR system plus any necessary UNIX scripts, VB.NET scripts, or Java programs to handle file manipulation.
- Confirm estimations of development time and perform implementations according to project plans.
- Develop according to the design docs and follow best practices while adhering to coding standards.
- Present completed code and completed unit test documentation in code review session among IT peers.
- Apply problem solving skills and provide root cause analysis as production or project issues arise.
- Interact with business analyst to create and review test cases. Where applicable, program testing automation using testing tools for such testing scenarios.
- Develop according to the design docs and follow best practices while adhering to coding standards.
- Present completed code and completed unit test documentation in code review session among IT peers.
- Apply problem solving skills and provide root cause analysis as production or project issues arise.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of technical expertise building and support custom applications built in BMC’s Remedy AR software platform.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Excellent skills in problem solving, client interaction, communication, and presentation.
- Deep understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle.
- Extensive background in client/server and three-tier system architecture.
- Minimum of 7 years of system analysis, process design and project/product development, with a good mix of functional and technical expertise.
- Complete understanding of the quality assurance process, test methodologies, and software quality management principles. Particularly, experience in documenting and executing unit testing.
- Proven ability to design and create test plans, test cases, and other test documentation.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g. Rational Clearquest) and Source Control (e.g. Rational ClearCase).
- Candidate must be very detailed and process oriented.
- Proven ability to effectively work with business analyst and development team.
