The Information Systems Audit Manger will report to the VP
of IS Audit who in return reports to the Sr. Vice President
of Internal Audit. In this position the Information System
Auditing Manager will be responsible for executing the IS
Internal Audit activities of the company. Specifically, the
position is responsible for: A majority of time will be
spent planning and performing IS Audits for all major
systems and data processing activities of the company using
our established methodology and documentation practices; The
audits are to be performed within the timeframe established
and agreed upon; The IS auditor will provide accurate and
objective audit reports to senior management on the overall
assessment of systems and data processing activities with
appropriate corrective recommendations; he IS auditor will
work in a team environment with Information Systems
Department personnel and the user community when assigned to
special project work. These projects include analysis a
nd recommendations on upgrades to existing systems or new
technology; With direct communication, the auditor will
develop and maintain professional rapport with management to
ensure their understanding and acceptance of audit
requirements, approach, and reporting methods; The IS
auditor will maintain both technical and professional
awareness of developments in fields that could affect audit
requirements and approach to reporting. This is a process
management role rather than a people management role. It is
preferred that you have prior experience living in Texas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requires a BA/BS with at least 5 years of IT Audit
experience in an IBM Mainframe environment. It is preferred
that you possess a CISA and CIA and possibly and CPA. The
successful candidate will have a good technical
understanding of IS systems and applications. The candidate
will have the ability to perform audits using an established
methodology for addressing risk, document the work performed
and related conclusions, and formulate sound
recommendations. The successful candidate will be sensitive
to and supportive of the operating objectives of the company
while ensuring that assets and resources are safeguarded and
sound control practices are followed. Specific technical
skills will include: Large IBM mainframe shop, currently on
ES9000; Large Windows NT/Cisco network; JCL, COBOL,
Easytrieve, CA Utilities (1, 7, 11), S/390, CICS, JES2,
TCP/IP, Client Server, CA Examine, DB2, TSO-ISPF, CA-Top
Secret, etc. The IS Audit Manager must be a very hands-on
technical individual, ha
ve a passion for Auditing, is challenged and intrigued by
auditing. While you must be able to work independently, you
must also demonstrate the ability to work with a team. You
must have mainframe audit experience and you must
demonstrate excellent communication skills.
