Position:       Security Engineer
Location:       Hyattsville, Maryland, United States
Type:           Contract

Closing Date:   2007-07-27

Background:
USfalcon, Inc. is seeking Certification & Accreditation
Engineer USfalcon, Inc. to perform duties/operations
associated with information security for the U.S. Treasury
in Hyattsville, MD.  

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with security testing tools a plus. 
CISM or CISSP certification a plus. 
Familiarity with security self-assessments and Baseline
Security Requirements (BLSRs) a plus. 

Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with web services security, authentication
systems, firewalls, incident response, and intrusion
detection.
Familiarity with FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-26,
NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-18, OMB Circular A-130, Appendix
3
Solid understanding of security architecture, policies, and
security capabilities of major operating systems
Familiarity with business continuity planning, risk
management, and qualitative risk assessments
Demonstrated ability to communicate with and distill
information from technical resources during formal and
informal meetings. Strong organizational, planning, and
analytical skills to ensure efficient and consistent
technical documentation.
Solid writing skills.

Duties:
Prepare documents for C&A packages by pre-determined
deadlines. Documents that will need to be prepared include:
System Security Plans, IT Contingency Plans, Incident
Response Plans, Business Impact Assessments, Risk
Assessments, FIPS 199 Profiles, and other documents that
support the C&A process.
Respond to auditor questions in support of the ISSO. 
Advise ISSO on security processes and procedures.

investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for
access to Secret classified information.
