Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Sales Engineer
You will be responsible for all technical related issues as
they pertain to the sales cycle of the Security Software
product line. This includes: understanding the customers
technical and business environment, the applications and
processes they use to develop and monitor their Web
properties, and identifying creative ways that products
could solve their business problems.
You will work directly with the sales team, both inside and
field sales executives, to provide pre- and post-sales
technical support by telephone and on-site visits. Your
duties will include product demonstrations (online and
on-site), developing and executing proof-of-concepts
prototypes and business-case presentations, identify product
enhancements driven by customer requirements, and interface
with both the customer support and development organizations
to help these organizations meet customer needs. Other
duties might include working closely with our corporate
technology and business partners.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

General Requirements:
· Previous experience in the role of Sales
Engineer with enterprise web based technologies
· Must possess excellent presentation and
communication skills
· Good understanding of the various US
Federal and State regulations governing web properties
· Knowledge of international regulations
would also be an asset
· This role requires a minimum of three years
in technical support (web based technologies) or Pre-sales
support (web based technologies)
· Previous experience supporting web based
quality solutions is a definite asset
· Advantage experience in web application
security
· This position requires 50-75% travel
Technical Requirements:
· Strong background in programming HTML, ASP
(JScript), T-SQL and pl-sql
· Strong background with databases (MS SQL,
Oracle)
· Knowledge of C++ and .NET languages an
asset
· Extensive understanding of server
performance and network architecture (NT, UNIX)
· Experience troubleshooting technical issues
while in remote locations
· Knowledge of software development
practices
· Previous experience working with Web
Content Management Systems or Portals is a definite asset
· CISSP and/or security experience preferred
Educational requirements:
· Bachelors degree in computer sciences or
equivalent
